First Wednesdays are a series of special events for Museum of Contemporary Craft members and patrons of The Gallery. These events allow us to host our monthly featured artists with an intimate reception while providing our Museum audience and collectors with the opportunity for a first look at new work. Complimentary wine and refreshments will be offered, so be sure to stop in and say hello.

ARTIST RECEPTION
Artist Talk 7pm
This juxtaposition complicates the reading of the work, slowing the comprehension and experience of what may appear to be a simple object. The pot’s domestic surroundings, the casual way in which it is constructed, and its surface against that of another material give the work a constructed and contemplative significance that will divulge its identity over time.

Hi Brian – Just wanted to tell you that I found my way to your website via Carol Epp’s blog. I have been listening in my studio and thoroughly enjoying it. Today I listened to the two Lisa Naples interviews and the one you did with Molly Hatch. Such a treat to hear you talk with artists about some of the same topics and concerns that interest me. I really appreciate your honest and thought-provoking conversations with them…
And I’m grateful that it’s led me to your site. I saw your work at NCECA and it’s cool to connect the work to the maker. I know this must take a lot of time and effort to do your podcast. Just wanted to say thanks. THANKS!
Hey Patricia,
Thank you for listening. I’m glad to hear that you are connecting with my show. I know that feeling of wanting/needing to connect to others and I appreciate you getting in touch with me and sharing your experience. Cheers.
